As the contentious debate over the Coronavirus response drags on, largely divided over partisan lines, some of the strongest pro-lockdown political figures are coming under fire for not upholding the standards they wish to impose on average Americans through government force.

Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, and Philadelphia mayor Jim Kenny -- all Democrats -- have been caught failing to uphold the standards they demand everyday citizens obey. Whitmer was caught traveling to her second home, Lightfoot was caught getting a haircut after threatening Chicagoans with arrest for disobeying orders, and Kenney was caught dining indoors after banning indoor dining in his city.

And joining these Democrats in their hypocrisy is Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who came under national scrutiny for getting a haircut at a salon that the owner had struggled against government obstacles for months to open. The owner said Pelosi’s visit was “a slap in the face.”

Even President Trump weighted in, tweeting “Crazy Nancy Pelosi is being decimated for having a beauty parlor opened, when all others are closed, and for not wearing a Mask - despite constantly lecturing everyone else. We will almost certainly take back the House, and send Nancy packing!”

Many are even beginning to question the motives of these pro-lockdown politicians when they are not even following their own advice.
